In advance of the exhibitions featuring The New Sylva opening in April at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) and the National Botanic Garden of Wales, RBGE have launched a campaign to find the nation’s favourite tree books. One lucky winner, drawn from the nominations, will receive a copy of The New Sylva. To find out more click here
The Man Who Planted Trees is my all time favourite but another one worth mentioning is: The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein . . both heartwarming with good life messages.
The Magic Faraway Tree – the first time as a child where the idea of the tree shimmers in the imagination. It is the tree as eco-systyem, tree as an anchor point for magic and myth, tree as symbol of both change and stability.
Great choice David! Now you need to nomitate it via RBGE – just follow the link in the post
