The Forest Guide Online is a perfect compliment to the guide books*:

  • Explore 365 copses, woods, and forests anywhere in Scotland (coming soon: Wales in 2024 and England in 2025).
  • The interactive map will be updated periodically to eventually feature all 1000+ sites across the three guidebooks.
  • The map provides pinpoint accuracy (3m) to help find parking locations or precise site access details.
  • Six-figure grid references indicate the centre of woodland sites.
  • Key information including ownership, area, designations, and woodland type.
  • Very high quality outdoor mapping provided by Thunderforest, includes contours, paths and cycle routes.

*Please note, the main descriptive text entries and images for sites are not included in the online guide.
