The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the next best time is now.

The first photograph was taken in the 1990s at Paradise Wood, the research woodland that I created in Oxfordshire (with a walnut trial in the background), and I’m holding a walnut tree that was raised from seed I collected in Kyrgyzstan.  The current photograph was taken at the site of the OneOak tree at the Blenheim Estate, and I’m holding one of the 250 oak trees that I planted there with children this Spring.

  1. Amazing what can be acheived in 20 years. I would be interested to know how the original woodland is progressing?
