   Wonderful woodland scene. If you approach the style and intentions of the original you will have done well. Looking forward to the read.

      Thank you. The first edition of Sylva was not illustrated, and only in later editions did some engravings appear, including for example, an illustration of machinery to extract tree stumps. We do hope that the book will meet your expectations.

   I have been hugely looking forward to The New Sylva for the content in its own right and also its nod towards the original Sylva, when I saw the front cover – it more than satisfies the woodland enthusiast and also the bibliophile in me – perfect colouring and design!
